A painting-digital screen diptych, W-A-R Zone is a conceptual and visual poem inscribed on Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoin whitepaper. The form generated through the process of blacking out the text zone delineated by the letters W-A-R embodies the wartime suppression and mutilation of culture and innovation. The painting of this form confronts us with the material presence of this zone of obliteration.
