The post La Máquina appeared first on theVERSEverse.]]> La Máquina is a poem inspired by the book “Translucent Shadows”, by Peter Lamborn Wilson. In the book, the author reflects on the dystopias of a future built by machines that, in a lucid dream, envy the organic capacity of humans. The machines, deep down, only want to be like us, their parents and creators, but not before, of course, destroying us.

The work is a composition created using Motion video software. The visualization is composed of geometries and effects native to the program. Among the featured elements is a three-dimensional representation of the head of the artist Marcos de la Fuente, generated through a photogrammetry process.

New York-based poet and performer Marcos de la Fuente is the head of POETRY+AI=ART, a collective investigating the relationship between poetry and new technologies, and how the world of art is going to Metaverse, Blockchain, and VR.

AI engineer Ismael Faro, code programmer Mariel Martinez, and visual artist Vanesa Álvarez are the other collective members, that seek to create new aesthetics and artistic hybrids in the future paradigms of digital art.

The post Metareality appeared first on theVERSEverse.]]> Metareality is a video creation generated using AI, and based on the Marcos de la Fuente poem with the same name and inspired in New York City style. This piece is the first collaboration between TheVERSEverse and the Poetry+AI=Art collective. The piece is a video of 3:07 min duration, where each verse of the Metareality poem is generated like a unique image using an AI model. The computer engineer Ismael Faro generated each image using an AI model and styling it, in this case it was using a couple of neural networks called CLIP + diffusion. The AI model requires two inputs, the verse and a phrase that influence the image style. The video composition has been made by computer engineer Mariel Martinez.
