Ghost Organ
These are your ribs that have built this city,
your hands which have sewn your own flag.
But let me be the prophet of your body,
let me dig my hands into its dark shell.
I will call forth new storms from your bones
to baptize this ghostly membrane of heart.
Let this be our common earth, an engine
that thrums a fuller anthem in your veins,
that this time will not be rejected,
re-sown from my body to yours.
