It’s an ancient history –
A woman touching herself in the early hours of the morning.
She offers a man honey that spills over in folds of dark amber.
He dips in two fingers, maybe three.
It’s an ancient history. One breast is milk to nourish.
The other is honey for pleasure.
Who does she belong to, this woman touching herself?
Does she belong to the man, the honey, or her imagination?
The ancient story isn’t that she offered, and he took.
The ancient story is that I’m telling it to you
And you’re listening.
